The actress who skyrocketed to stardom, Lisa Kudrow, has again become the most searched news item in recent days. In the Netflix series, Space Force, Kudrow is playing the lead. The actress rose to fame with the once-beloved sitcom, FRIENDS. Kudrow proved to be an adept performer, be it in a ditsy, flaky character, in FRIENDS, or a sexually repressed spinster in “The Opposite Sex.”Lisa Kudrow portrayed a naïve masseuse, struggling folk singer, and a homeless adolescent all in a strangely mature manner in the most successful series of the 90s, FRIENDS. Kudrow broke away from her ditsy character and showcased her acting skills by playing a diverse range of roles by appearing in series like “The Comeback,”“Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion.” Popular films like “Easy A,”“Neighbors” and “The Girl on the Train” are diamonds in her kitty.
Space Force, the new buzzword in the online world, is Netflix’s new comedy show that has a star-studded cast including LisaKudrow, who is most famously known as Phoebe Buffay, from FRIENDS. Kudrow plays Maggie Naird and spends most of her time in jail for strangely unknown reasons.
The million-dollar question is now hitting the search engines, what did Maggie do to end up in jail?
Although the show is yet to reveal the plot twist, if you’re so desperate to know before the second season read on:
According to the shows’ creators, it is intended to be a mystery. The only hint fans get in the first season is that Maggie is serving 40-60 years sentence.
These bits of information are enough for fans to spin theories and create new stories. Some say Maggie is engaged in financial or anti-state crimes while some others go on a positive note saying that it can’t be murder as she is married to a 4-star general, Mark Naird.
The show revolves around the story of a General, husband of Maggie, Mark Naird. He is tasked to create a sixth branch of armed forces, TheSpace Force. Since its debut in May 2020, it received mixed opinions from both critics and fans. It got a 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. An added beauty to the show is its star cast including Jane Lynch, LisaKudrow, Patrick Warburton, and Noah Emmerich.
However, the show has begun with the lingering question: Why is Maggie in jail?
In a video chat on a discussion about the FRIENDS reunion special on HBO max Kudrow touched upon the question. "Yes, I did have cornrows. That wasn't a wig. Of course, I'm asking, "Now, why is she in prison?" she said. Upon asking why the writers are not revealing the mystery she answered that maybe it’s a fun thing to tease out.
The chemistry between Kudrow and Carell is so far the best thing on season 1. Although the ongoing mystery is amusing and intriguing, it is a little bit shocking to know that even Kudrow doesn’t know what her character did to end up in jail. The only thing that is left for the fans is to speculate and cook stories or to wait for the second season, which“hopefully”solves the mystery.
