The election season was over. Americans have celebrated the victory and mourned the loss. But the toughest challenge is still alive.

What is that?

  • The transition of power from Trump’s administration to the President-elect Ever since the beginning of the elections, Trump has been adamant regarding the counting and later the outcome. But the former President seems to have been on the path of acceptance of the outcome and has finally agreed to the transition of power.
  • But what is more interesting is to have Joe-Biden in Saturday Night LiveSaturday Night Live has been known for its parodies of presidential candidates. The tradition has started with Dan Aykroyd’s impersonation of Richard Nixon. Since then the series with its political satirical episodes has never let its audience down. And it is back with another bang on the episode.
  • But why is it in talks now?
The elections are finally over, guys. After a lot of debates, arguments, and fights for recounting, the elections have finally ended. America has chosen Joe-Biden as its 46th president.
Are you not interested to see a replay of events that has happened since the announcement of results? Even I want that. But what is interesting is that Saturday Night Live has chosen a pretty creative and satirical way of replaying the election events. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s jump in to explore!
  • This is not a new attempt by SNL. The show has previously done the impersonations of Bill Clinton and George W.Bush. And the tradition was kept alive since then.
  • The opening monologue starts with CNN’s election coverage. The team, after an exhaustive feat of counting, announces to the intrigued masses that Biden has won the election term. Jim Carrey, who has portrayed Joe Biden, looks surprisingly befuddled upon the positive outcome. He welcomes Kamala Harristhe first South-east Asian Black women, on to the stage, after quickly finishing up his victory speech.
  • The light then jumps over to Donald Trump, whose role was played by Alec Baldwin, which can be seen lambasting over the election administrative machinery and everyone to stop the votes and the counting as well. He affirms to his supporters that his fight prevails before disappearing into the nothingness while singing village people’s macho man. Before disappearing he says “This isn’t a goodbye America this is a see you in the court.”
  • Joealias Jim in his victory speech says he had never felt so alive. He also continues that he was ‘gracious’ but his counterpart had other plans in the store. Kamala Harris was mimicked by Maya Rudolph. The first woman Vice-President of the USA then plays the viral song, “Lose Yo Job,” on her phone to which both Kamala and Joe tap their feet. “There must be a winner and a loser,” Joe says on an ending note.
  • After all the laughs and the cries are over, Trump is shown fleeing the White House in breaking news. It was a funny idea to end the show this way, but it ought to happen in real-life too. The show is then ended by the Foo Fighter.
  • The show has ended but the audience continues to anticipate Baldwin’s repeated appearances as Trump on the show in the episodes to come. The Trump-Bidenepisode has created a sense of excitement among the audience. But the possibility of a spin-off is not yet known.
